One Year of Vilda Magazine
Exactly one year ago, I pressed "publish" to reveal my very first Editor's Letter in Vilda Magazine (actually, the date says 26th, but that's only because I had previously saved the post as a privately published draft and it kept the original date) - a project that I had spent almost a year dreaming about, worrying for and working on. And last year, after a long and tiresome battle called "learning Wordpress", it finally was a real, actual online magazine.
And what a ride it has been.
We gave away a box of goodies with The Vegan Kind and a sophisticated Jill Milan clutch.
We chatted with fierce veganistas about their top five can't-live-without-'em items.
We interviewed a vegan personal style blogger.
We created recipes that people tried at home and loved, tweeting us about their success.
We did have fun testing a few freebies and fancy restaurants.
We had some amazing guest writers.
We went to London Fashion Week and tried new trends in luxe vegan dining.
We talked to some remarkable people and groundbreaking vegan crusaders.
We travelled the world, taking our readers with us.
We appeared in magazines that we ourselves love to read.
We started a revolution.
But most importantly, what I feel Vilda has given me is an amazing sense of community - our team is a team in every sense of the world. Even if we're scattered all over the world, we stick together on our common goal, to create a truly gorgeous editorial destination to celebrate vegan fashion. I'm so immensely proud of all of us.
And to think it all started here. I will forever be grateful to Marie Claire for choosing me for the Inspire and Mentor campaign and to Poppy Dinsey for being the best mentor I could ever have asked for.
Thank you to everyone who has followed us on our journey - there is so much more to come. Like right now! Join us in our Fakeover campaign and you can win a stylish gift: find out more here.
