Christmas in Southbank

I love London at any time of the year, but around Christmas time it's magical. It all lights up with a million twinkling fairy lights, filling the air with a festive atmosphere that's unique and at the same time so familiar. I love discovering little pieces of Christmas magic around the city - and I'm lucky enough to live really close to one of them, Southbank centre.

The market at Southbank is quite small, but its riverside location right under the London Eye makes it a must-visit nonetheless. Filled with little stalls of handmade everything - from hand-painted porcelain bowls to Venetian masks - and with the delicious scent of mulled wine filling the air (just had my first cup of the season last weekend!), Southbank, one of David and my favourite places during the summer, is just as magical in December as it is in July.
